Extract Pages from PDF

Extract pages from a PDF into a new document. Click the pages you want, or type a range like 1-3, 5, 8-10. The pages you pick are copied intact, so text stays selectable and nothing is recompressed. Runs entirely in your browser — no upload, no sign-up, no watermark.

Two ways to select, and when each is faster

They work together, so use whichever suits the document in front of you:

• Click the thumbnails when you are picking pages by what is on them — finding the invoice in a bundle, or the one signed page in a contract. A tick marks each selection.
• Type a range when you already know the numbers. 1-3, 5, 8-10 gives you pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9 and 10 in one go, which beats clicking forty cards. Press Apply Range to load it into the grid.

There are also four shortcuts: Select All, First Page Only,Last Page Only and Reset. The two single-page ones sound trivial and get used constantly — pulling a cover sheet off the front, or the signature page off the back, of a long document.

Every card also has an expand button that opens the page full screen, with arrow-key navigation and a slider to move through the document. Thumbnails are small by design so the grid stays dense, sopreview anything text-heavy rather than guessing.

What you get out

One PDF containing your selected pages, in original document order. Two things follow from that, and both catch people out:

That third row is the practical shortcut. If you want 48 pages out of a 50-page document, do not select 48 cards — remove the two you do not want instead. Same destination, a fraction of the clicking.

Extraction is a privacy tool

The obvious use is convenience: emailing three pages instead of ninety. The more valuable one isnot sending pages that were never anyone else's business — proving your address from a bank statement without disclosing every transaction, submitting one certificate from a folder of personal records, sharing a single section of a report without the internal appendix.

Because a genuinely new document is built and only the chosen pages are copied into it, the rest is not present in the output at all. That is a stronger guarantee than hiding pages in a viewer, and it is the reason this runs locally: the document you are being careful with never gets uploaded in order to be trimmed.

Quality, and what "copied" actually means

Each selected page is copied as a complete object — its text operators, embedded fonts, vector artwork and images move across untouched. Nothing is rendered to a bitmap at any point, so the extract is as sharp as the original at every zoom level, text remains searchable and copyable, and screen readers still work. Tools that extract by rasterising pages give you a picture of your document instead, usually larger and always less useful.

Limits worth knowing

One file at a time, and at least one page must be selected before the button activates. Selections are always sorted into document order, so clicking page 5 before page 2 still produces 2 then 5. Apassword-protected PDF cannot be opened, and a permission-restricted file that opens freely will produce an unencrypted extract, because a fresh document is being built rather than the original modified. There is no page or size cap beyond your device memory, though every page is thumbnailed on load, so very long scans are slowest to open.
